I recently closed a land purchase using your services as buyer's agent, and would like to thank you for doing me a good job. I had been looking for land in the Fairbanks area for several years, and had the opportunity to meet with various realty agents; as a first time purchaser, it was quite the experience. Of course everyone has something to sell and I was not too pleased with some agents who acted like I should jump on the first thing they showed me. . . I first walked into your offices last May and was helped by Doug Welton, who took the time to go over some of the basic steps with me and gave me advice on the current market. His Honesty and open low-pressure approach impressed me, and when he found a property I was interested in some months later (listed with another realtor) I chose Doug to handle my end of things.
The deal finally closed in early winter, and I got the property for quite a bit under the asking price, (which pleased me as you can imagine!). I really was not aware of how much was required on the various legalities and conditions of the realty business, but Doug was able to walk me through it, and he put a lot more work into it than I thought an agent would and it was not a high commission sale. I would recommend his services to anyone, and will use his services in future transactions.
